BYOD and Digital Resources

Last Updated: 13 Sep 2023

At Danebank we continually assess and research new technologies and evaluate their application for our girls. Our original Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) iPad program was a great success and the iPad was the obvious device choice when the program started in 2012. Since then there have been many developments in both hardware and software that now require that your daughter has a modern laptop to ensure your daughter’s ongoing technological needs are met.

Minimum Device Requirements:

  • Weigh less than 2kg
  • Battery life sufficient to last a school day
  • Screen size between 13” and 15”
  • i5 processor or equivalent
  • 8GB RAM
  • 256GB SSD storage
  • Windows 10 and above, or Mac OS X 12 and above

N.b. An iPad is no longer sufficient to meet the technological requirements for student’s learning and students will not be able to use this as a primary device.
