BYOD and Digital Resources

Last Updated: 18 September 2024

At Danebank we continually assess and research new technologies and evaluate their application for our girls. Our original Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) iPad program was a great success and the iPad was the obvious device choice when the program started in 2012. Since then there have been many developments in both hardware and software that now require that your daughter has a modern laptop to ensure your daughter’s ongoing technological needs are met.

Minimum Device Requirements:

  • Weight: less than 2kg
  • Battery: 8 Hours – sufficient to last the entire school day
  • Screen size: 13” – 15”
  • Processor: i5 or equivalent
  • Memory: 8GB RAM
  • Storage: 256GB SSD
  • Operating System: Windows 10 or Mac OS X 12

Note: Laptop with ARM processors are not supported. Devices with older operating systems than stated above are also not supported.

iPads are no longer sufficient to meet the technological requirements for student’s learning. Students will not be able to use ipads as their primary device.
